Mrs. Yollis has a very impressive class blog, Mrs. Yollis Class Blog , for her students and others around the world to be a part. She has a part of the blog Meet Mrs. Yollis where you can learn a lot about the person behind this masterpiece of a blog. She loves to travel and she visited Hawaii. Mrs. Yollis posted videos and pictures of her snorkeling with turtles in Hawaii and the videos had facts about turtles so her class can learn. She prides herself on being a continuous learner and incorporating what she has learned into the classroom. She went to the Google

  1. Erwin,

You did a great job of describing Mrs. Yollis' Class Blog. I have never seen a classroom blog like that....no wonder she has won so many awards. I actually felt like I was looking at a professional website for a business or company! She definitely gives all of us a great example of how to integrate technology into the classroom.

Mrs. Yollis seems to have very high standards for her third graders. She reminds me of a fifth grade teacher I once knew. She had very high standards for her fifth grade class and, for some strange reason, the class always seemed to meet up to what she expected of them. She believed in them....so they believed in themselves. She had a kind and loving way of making each one of her students bring out the very best of themselves.

I love your philosophy on why you are becoming a teacher and what you plan to do with education! You sound like a great person who really wants to make a difference...Just like Mrs. Yollis!
